Range Rover Evoque Convertible wireframe replicas line London streets

This past Friday in London those who roamed the streets were surprised to see a collection of full-size Range Rover Evoque Convertible wireframe sculptures on display.

The sculptures were designed by Land Rover’s own Design team and are sure to get Londoners excited for the Evoque Convertible launch coming this November. Colorful and dazzling, the wireframe sculptures were placed outside various luxury retailers in the city including Bulgari, Burberry, and Harrods department stores.

Land Rover used advanced computer modeling to precisely outline the shape of the Evoque Convertible, and the sculptures were made from aluminum and finished an array of lively colors. The wireframes demonstrate Range Rover Evoque’s transformation from a coupe to a convertible. The 2015 November Ranger Rover Evoque launch will unveil the world’s first compact luxury SUV convertible, something Land Rover Design Director and Chief Creative Officer Gerry McGovern is very excited about.

“The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is perfectly suited to the urban surroundings of a city like London and it is the perfect place to showcase the world’s first luxury compact SUV convertible,” he said in a press release.

“The locations chosen reflect the refined and luxurious lifestyle of an Evoque Convertible customer – two attributes this vehicle delivers in abundance.”

The Evoque Convertible should definitely deliver on those attributes, but it is delivering everywhere else as well. It has passed every test thrown its way, confirming that it will deliver all-terrain capability. It’s set to launch next month and make its public debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show, and go on sale in the UK Spring 2016.
